Cleaning and Repairing Wedding Gowns

Cleaning and Repairing Wedding Gowns after Outdoor/Destination Ceremonies

The great outdoors can be beautiful for your wedding day, whether that’s at one of Dallas’s event spaces, the Texas Hill Country, or even some faraway destination. Whether your big day is around the corner or you’ve just celebrated, you might be wondering: what happens if mud, dirt, or sand gets on your perfectly white gown?

You can’t just toss your wedding dress in a washer, and most dry cleaners won’t be able to return the gown to its original color. So what do you do, especially if you’re located near Ridglea, Westover, White Settlement, or TCU?

Specialized cleaning is available right here in the metroplex! Thanks to Kite’s Bridal of Fort Worth, which is a “Best of” pick on both TheKnot and WeddingWire, Kite’s can clean and/or preserve your dress for decades to come. Call 866-822-2554 for more information and a free evaluation for your gown, whether you’re in Ft. Worth, Dallas, Highland Park, Southlake, or Arlington.

What makes a D/FW Wedding Gown Cleaner Unique compared to Dry Cleaning

Wedding dress cleaning is a process that requires the utmost attention to detail, plus special tools that dry cleaners don’t utilize. A gown has lace, beads, and other delicate items that may need to be rigorously cleaned, but not altered or damaged. That’s a challenge for gown cleaners that aren’t AWGS-certified, like Kite’s specialists are.

When it comes to removal of dirt, dust, or stains, you want to make sure that the dress can get the best clean possible. Then, you need to address what are known as “invisible” stains, like those from alcohol or sugars, which can appear months or years later. Kite’s handles these and more when we clean for our clients all across Richland Hills, Grand Prairie, Hurst/Euless/Bedford, and Grapevine

Dallas/Fort Worth Wedding Dress Cleaning AND REPAIR!

OK, so you know by now that Kite’s can clean your gown to the best possible standards, but what about repair? What happens if a dress gets a snag, rip, or tear during the ceremony? Well, the show must go on! But you don’t want to leave such damages for extended periods of time, because they can get worse or warp.

Kite’s Bridal specializes in cleaning your wedding gown, preserving your dress, and yes, repairs! You can rely on our AWGS membership, MuseumCare™ preservation standards, and high ratings on the most popular wedding review sites.

Call Kite’s today at 866-822-2554 if you need your gown cleaned after your wedding. We serve clients in Benbrook, Allen, Plano, Weatherford, Garland, Pantego, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, and Burleson, so you’re never too far away!

You’ll have three keepsakes from your wedding day: your bands, your photos, and your dress, so why not give your gown the same respect that you give to your bands and photographer?

Quinceañera Dress Cleaning

Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth Quinceañera Dress Cleaning | Affordable and Easy!

A young woman only celebrates her Quinceañera once, and looking back on that special day is something that requires keepsakes. No treasure is as important or personal as a Quinceañera gown. Unfortunately, Quinceañeras mean lots of food and beverages, all of which can stain that gown and lead to damage later on.

Kite’s Bridal is Fort Worth’s favorite source for Quinceañera gown cleaning, and that includes invisible stains that you may not immediately notice after the event. Our Quinceañera gown cleaning services are popular all across the metroplex, including Allen, Plano, Garland, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Irving, Benbrook, the Stockyards, and Frisco.

See what makes Kite’s a favorite on both WeddingWire and TheKnot when you have your Quinceañera gown cleaned with Kite’s. Call us at (866) 822-2554, and see why Quinceañeras all across Ridglea, TCU, SMU, Denton, and Cleburne rely on us for cleaning, stain removal, and more.

Can you clean a Quinceañera gown for an affordable price in D/FW? | Kite’s Bridal

What does it cost and how effective is it? These are two questions we get all the time at Kite’s, which is why we put together this guide for both when it comes to cleaning Quinceañera dresses.

First off, Quinceañera gown cleaning can be very affordable, and we provide pre-cleaning inspections to make sure that our work will land within our clients’ budget. If there are dyes, stains, or lace that we’re concerned about, we’ll contact you during that pre-inspection process to ensure that we do the best job.

Second, cleaning Quinceañera gowns isn’t as easy as dry cleaning. Our multi-step process involves the aforementioned pre-inspection, but also includes stain removal, cleaning of invisible stains, and protection of lace or beads that could become damaged in typical dry cleaning.

Whether you need your Quinceañera gown cleaned in Fort Worth, Hurst/Euless/Bedford, Aledo/Weatherford, Las Colinas, or Richland Hills, Kite’s Bridal can help you through the entire process.

Certifications are important when it comes to Quinceañera gown cleaning

Our preservation process is just a few steps different from our Quinceañera cleaning process, which means both receive state-of-the-art attention to detail and care. Moreover, many of our services at Kite’s Bridal are guaranteed by the AWGS, so you can trust our work.

Call Kite’s Bridal today for all your Quinceañera gown cleaning needs at (866) 822-2554, and prepare yourself to be impressed. Cleaning your Quinceañera dress with Kite’s means passing down a dress to the next generation too.

What’s so special about Preserving a cleaned wedding gown in North Texas or D/FW?

At Kite’s Bridal, we hear the same questions all the time. How much more does preservation cost? Can you preserve stained dresses from destination weddings? Do I need to preserve a gown if it’s already cleaned? The great news is, gown preservation can be an affordable, easy, and important process for ensuring your dress will retain its size and shape for generations to come.

Preservation does include the standard wedding dress cleaning procedure, especially stain elimination, invisible stain identification and removal, and protection of lace, beads, and fabrics. But once the dress cleaning is complete, the preservation process involves proper storage in a muslin box (included with your order), which allows you to view your gown, touch it with an included pair of gloves, and still permit proper airflow to the dress.

When you want to protect one of your most valued wedding keepsakes for years to come, look no further than Kite’s Bridal of Fort Worth, Hurst/Euless/Bedford, Richland Hills, Grand Prairie, and Grapevine.

Guide to Ft. Worth Wedding Dress Preservation (Professional Cleaning Included!)

There are plenty of other gown cleaning services available in Cowtown, and there are even services who claim to preserve your wedding dress too, but they are NOT the same! Kite’s Bridal is your only North Texas source of certified gown preservation, which is guaranteed by the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists.

Why do you need a network of Gown Specialists for your dress preservation, though? Isn’t it a one-and-done process? It can be for some, but for others, gown preservation is intended to protect your gown in between showings or even generations of women in your family. For instance, when not properly preserved, even the nicest of wedding dresses can experience fabric tightening and shrink, which is difficult to reverse, and would prevent your daughter or granddaughter from inheriting it.

Plus, our cleaning process will ensure that your gown is properly preserved and protected from invisible stains, which can be one of the most damaging elements for a dress, in addition to the aforementioned shrinkage. When you’re looking for gown cleaning and preservation all-in-one in Highland Park, Southlake, Clearfork, or Rivercrest, you need Kite’s Bridal!

Free Muslin Cover Included! Preserve your Wedding Gown Professionally with Kite’s of Fort Worth

In addition to your wedding bands and that slice of frozen wedding cake, your gown is one of the most important keepsakes you’re able to take with you from your wedding day. Why risk damaging your dress when it’s just as easy to clean and preserve long-term? Call Kite’s Bridal of Camp Bowie and Alta Mere today, and find out why we’re so highly ranked by both WeddingWire and TheKnot.

Call us today at (866) 822-2554, no matter what part of your wedding planning process you might be at. We work with newly engaged brides, pre-departure brides, and brides that didn’t think about preservation until they’d already kicked off the honeymoon. Whatever part you may find yourself in, Kite’s Bridal is here to help.

Happy New Year 2023

The Big Difference between Wedding Dress Cleaning and Preservation in Fort Worth

Whether you’re about to tie the knot or you got married in a wintry December ceremony, you may be considering the benefits of having your wedding gown professionally cleaned in Fort Worth or Dallas. Before you commit to just cleaning your dress, have you considered the alternative?

North Texas wedding dress preservation is an intensive and specialized process that not only ensures your wedding dress gets a proper cleaning, but also guarantees your dress for decades to come, protecting it against changing in size, discoloration, and oxidation.

While there may be more than one venue for cleaning your wedding dress, preserving your dress with the MuseumCare™ certified process can only be found at Kite’s Bridal of Fort Worth. Whether you’re nearby around TCU, Westover, Ridglea, Benbrook, White Settlement, or Lake Worth, or you’re located more centrally near Arlington, Richland Hills, Burleson, Dallas, or Allen/Plano, Kite’s Bridal is here to help with your questions about cleaning, preservation, and much more.

What are your options for preserving your wedding gown in Dallas/Ft. Worth?

While other companies claim to clean and/or preserve wedding gowns, Kite’s Bridal is your certified MuseumCare™ gown preservation specialist. Call us at 866-822-2554 and start with our free consultation, where we can gather all the necessary information to quote your preservation.

D/FW Wedding Gown preservation begins similarly to cleaning with a visual inspection to ensure that your dress’s most delicate parts are protected. Then, the visual inspection process will progress to identifying visible and invisible stains. While the visible stains may look bad now, it’s invisible stains that can lead to the worst long-term damage. We’ll identify and clean both.

After your gown is cleaned, it will be stored in a muslin cover, which will allow you to view the dress for years to come while providing necessary airflow to keep the fabric the proper size. If you choose to remove your dress, we or another MuseumCare™ provider can re-seal the cover.

It’s that easy! You can see the importance of knowing what gown preservation adds, and how crucial the process can be, especially if you hope to pass down your dress to the next generation.

Preserving your Wedding Dress in Dallas, Arlington, Ft. Worth is better than just Cleaning

Your dress is one of the most important keepsakes from your wedding day, so why wouldn’t you take the extra step to preserve it? Just talk to any of our local clients all around Rivercrest, Camp Bowie, Southlake, Highland Park, or Clearfork, and they’ll sing our praises. Not to mention, Kite’s Bridal consistently ranks highly on WeddingWire and TheKnot too.

Call us today at (866) 822-2554 and see what all the buzz is about! We work with brides at all stages of their wedding, including scheduling drop-off or delivery in between your big day and honeymoon.

Snow and my Wedding Dress

Can the snow harm my wedding dress?

Can sleet or snow affect your wedding dress years later? | Ft. Worth Gown Preservation

Clean your wedding gown today AND preserve it for decades to come | Benbrook, Lake Worth, Azle

Our MuseumCare™ certified gown process is a one-two punch, because we both clean and preserve your dress. You might not realize the two are separate processes, but they certainly are! Cleaning your gown starts with a visual inspection and free estimate, depending on the level that a gown might have been soiled. (And yes, even beach weddings we can handle!)

Find out what clients on TheKnot, WeddingWire, and FW Mag have been raving about when you see how we’re able to clean both visible stains and invisible stains, which appear with age and can damage your gown years later. Preserving your gown with D/FW’s Kite’s Bridal is an investment you’ll thank yourself for long after.

After we’ve examined delicate lace and/or beads, we perform the preservation process, using a muslin cover to combine airflow and protection. Our cover allows you to see your dress without breaking the preserved seal, and should you wish to take out your dress someday, especially if another family member may wear it, we can reestablish the seal.

When you call (866) 811-1554, we’ll schedule time with you for a free consultation at our Alta Mere offices, where our wedding gown specialists can examine your dress, and calculate what a preservation would cost. What’s so special about museum quality wedding gown preservation?

Our Ft. Worth MuseumCare™ wedding gown preservation includes a series of complex steps, which ensure your gown will be preserved with the highest of standards.

First and foremost, we address visible stains like coffee and chocolate as well as invisible stains, commonly referred to as sugar stains, which dry clear but brown over time. Then, we treat and hand clean your gown exclusively, and don’t clean it in combination with any other gowns. Finally, we package your gown in a muslin cover, which allows the fabric to breathe, which is necessary for the longevity of your gown preservation.

So no matter what corner of Ft. Worth you live in, Kite’s is worth traveling for. We serve Edgecliff, Saginaw, Lake Worth, Weatherford, Azle, and Flower Mound too. In addition to our exclusive association credentials, our customers have only great things to say about their experiences with us, and we aim to add you to that list of happy clients!

Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialists also cleans and restores wedding gowns, should preservation not be the right service for you. Call Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialists at 866-811-1554 to schedule your free consultation.

Tifani’s Wedding

When was your wedding and where did it take place?

The Milestone
Krum, TX
October 5, 2019

How long did it take you to find your wedding gown and how did you know it was “the one?”

I found my gown at the very first bridal shop that I went to. I tried on a total of 14 gowns all in my price range, my gown that I purchased was the second one I tried on. I knew it was the one as soon as I put it on, but my group wanted to see the other gowns that were picked. As soon as I was buttoned into the gown I was hit with a feeling of sheer happiness, I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world and I could not wait to purchase my gown and wear it on my big day!

What Kite’s wedding gown service did you use?

Cleaning (after wedding) and Preservation

Why did you choose Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialists for the care of your wedding gown?
I researched many specialists in the DFW area, when I came across Kites and read all of the reviews, I knew I had to go with them for my cleaning and preservation. The woman who kept in contact with me through the process was wonderful! I was updated and sent pictures through the whole process- I knew my gown was in great hands!

Favorite memory, or what stands out most about your wedding day?

My favorite memory is when my husband and I saw each other for the first time. He looked so handsome and he was just in awe of me! It felt so wonderful to take a moment with just us to spend some time together before the festivities started!

How would you rate your overall experience with Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialists?

***** (5 Stars!)

Megan’s Wedding

Megan’s Wedding Dress Preservation in Texas

Megan’s spring nuptials in Texas may have taken a full 10 months to plan; but, in reality, she’d been planning for this special day since she was a little girl. Read more about Megan’s dress and wedding below!

When was your wedding and where did it take place?

We got married on May 25, 2014 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas, Texas.

When did you know that your wedding dress was “the one’?

I got my Stella York wedding gown at Bliss Bridal in Fort Worth, Texas. I knew the gown was “the one” when my Mimi started tearing up. I was so happy in it and didn’t want to take it off!

What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?

Our first kiss as husband and wife was hands down the best moment from my wedding day! It could have lasted forever and I wouldn’t have cared–it was that magical.

Why did you want to get your wedding dress cleaned and preserved?

I would love to save the gown for my future daughter. If I don’t have one, I may want to donate it so another bride can feel as beautiful in it as I did.

Why did you decide to get your wedding gown cleaned by a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists?

My mother is actually the wedding gown specialist at Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialist and she made it very clear that this was the only place to go for expert wedding gown care in the Fort Worth area! What I like most is that they do their cleaning and preservations on-site–this was someplace I could go to personally drop off my wedding dress and not mail it out somewhere far away. They did an excellent job!

Kimberly’s Wedding

Kimberly’s Wedding Dress Cleaning in Texas

Beautiful bride Kimberly knew she wanted to get her wedding gown at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event because as a childhood cancer survivor, she wanted her funds to go towards a great cause. Because this dress was so special to her, she entrusted Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialist in Ft. Worth, Texas to expertly care for it after her big day. Read more about her dress and wedding day below!

When was your wedding and where did it take place?

We got married on October 12, 2014 at the Marty Leonard Community Chapel (part of the Lena Pope Home) and had our reception at Bass Hall’s McDavid Studio, both in Fort Worth, Texas.

When did you know that your wedding gown was “the one”?

I was adamant about getting my wedding gown at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event. Since I am a childhood cancer survivor and understand that weddings can be expensive, my fiancé and I wanted our funds to go to good causes – wherever and whenever possible. Brides Against Breast Cancer allowed me to find the perfect gown and know that the proceeds would go towards crucial cancer support programs.

I knew my gown was “the one” moments after trying it on. It was the fourth dress I picked and ironically enough, I originally thought I was not going to like the dress at all. I really thought I wanted a dress with straps that was simple with no bead embellishments and no sweetheart neckline. Well, I fell in love with a gown that was the opposite of all that! But it still maintained the simplicity I had originally hoped for.

What is your absolute favorite memory from your wedding day?

One of my favorite memories from my wedding day was the ceremony. It might sound cliché, but it was a very special time. My husband I had a close friend who was our officiant and we pretty much planned the ceremony from beginning to end including our vows, scripture readings and a unique unity spice ritual. We are of different faiths so it was important that our ceremony reflected who we are as individuals, as well as how we are as a couple. Watching it all come to fruition was one of the best experiences of my life. That and I had many friends say, “You won’t remember your ceremony. Everything goes by so quickly.” I made a conscious effort to take in every moment so that I would remember every part that made the day so special to us.

Why did you want to get your gown cleaned and preserved?

I wanted to get my gown cleaned and preserved because down the road when my husband and I renew our vows, I would like to wear the dress again. It’s a beautiful dress and seems like a shame to only wear it once!

Why did you decide to get your gown cleaned by a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists?

I always had great experiences with Kite’s Wedding Gown Specialist in Fort Worth and they are always my go-to dry cleaning option. They consistently provide top-notch service and I wanted nothing but the best for my gown. When I found out that they were a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, it just affirmed that I made the right decision!
